About Us
Kerala Entrepreneurs Club (KEC) is a club with the goal of promoting an environment that will foster innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship. KEC is involved in many aspects of entrepreneurship including entrepreneurial education, publishing, scientific conferences and round tables, social and sustainability entrepreneurship, launching and growing various ventures, and many more activities and events. KEC meetings include university professors and entrepreneurs as guest speakers that help build momentum in entrepreneurial endeavors and transfer their best practices. Through guest speaker seminars, pitch competitions, idea-thongs and community projects, we help foster an interest in entrepreneurship, support the entrepreneurial mindset, and encourage engagement in the thriving community of entrepreneurs. There are also opportunities to make friends, share business ideas, solve problems in innovative ways, develop professional networks and build teams for various projects and/or entrepreneurial ventures.
Our members have an active interest in entrepreneurship, by either holding university courses in entrepreneurship, developing a project, working for a startup, constantly learning skills or being involved in the family business. For those who are not working on their own venture, there are plenty of occasions to take initiative by organizing the club’s activities, planning events and curating our network in the local ecosystem. Members have the opportunity to receive advice from successful entrepreneurs and the academic community in order to foster and develop ideas. Our young members and/or start-up entrepreneurs can receive supervision from our more engaged experienced members and gain exposure to the entrepreneurship world and entrepreneurial concepts.
We strongly encourage our members to make this club a useful resource by proposing projects, attending our events and building long-lasting relationships with the academicians, entrepreneurs and practitioners. In fact, active participation is what makes this club successful. We would like to express our deepest gratitude to all who support and encourage our continued promotion of entrepreneurship.

Digital Skills of Young Entrepreneurs
We need more entrepreneurs, more innovation, and more high-growth Small, Medium Enterprises (SMEs) for economic growth and to minimize poverty. Therefore, it is necessary to stimulate the entrepreneurial mindsets of young people. The important role of entrepreneurial education in promoting more entrepreneurial attitudes and digital skills needed is now widely recognised.
The project “Digital Skills for Young Entrepreneurs” seeks to gather feedback from entrepreneurs on which digital skills they consider most important for joining the world of entrepreneurship by young entrepreneurs that will help them work on their skills.
Modern entrepreneurship demands new and youthful ideas. More innovative products are emerging every single day and digital projects appear to be what is going to be a gamechanger. There is a gap between young people and entrepreneurship that exist mostly as young people do not have the necessary skills and competencies to bring their ideas to life.
For this reason, the purpose of this project is to enhance the digital skills of young people and foster the entrepreneurial culture of the youth. The round table supports the professional development of the young entrepreneurs through the gain of specific skills to increase their sense of initiative and entrepreneurship, self-empowerment, and self-esteem. Digital and entrepreneurship skills are what youth should focus on to add value to their ventures, employers, and the world around them.
Entrepreneur for a Day:
Ever wondered what a day in the life of an entrepreneur looks like? If your answer is NO, this might be a project for you. An entrepreneur is a person who organizes and operates a business or businesses, taking on greater than normal financial risks to do so. Being your own boss and making your own rules is the dream of the entrepreneur, but sometimes that freedom can be a little overwhelming. Having the freedom to create your own day will test your skills of self-discipline in ways that having a day-job – and therefore a boss to answer to – never will, but it does give you the ability to live a life you choose.
Through this project, young people can visit real entrepreneurs and have the opportunity to see what a day in the life of real entrepreneurs looks like. Huge thanks to all the SMEs and their owners and CEOs who participated in the project.
Start Up World:
Startup World is an initiative to promote startups, entrepreneurship and technology. The project consists of workshops on how to write a good business plan or investment study and enter the world of entrepreneurship. Participants are most often young people who show an explicit interest in entrepreneurship. Business plans or investment studies with the most potential can be presented to potential investors with consent.
Knowledge Alliance:
- developing new, innovative, and multidisciplinary approaches to teaching and learning,
- stimulating entrepreneurship and the entrepreneurial skills of higher education and company staff,
- exchanging knowledge and working together on new solutions.
Knowledge Alliances offer the opportunity for organizations to develop a project that contributes to one of the focus areas above. They are open to any discipline and sector, as well as cross-sectoral cooperation. The partners of a Knowledge Alliances share common goals and work together towards mutually beneficial results and outcomes.

The award declaration ceremony, scheduled on 8th October 2022, is planned to be enriched with the distinguished business personalities and government delegates from India and Qatar. KEC has setup an internal jury committee headed by Mr. Hani Mangat, a prominent business consultant in Qatar and the CEO of the Crown Accounting and Taxation LLC. This internal jury committee will shortlist 3 finalists from nominations for each category and these 3 final candidates will be presented to the External Jury for their final judgment and ranking. The winner will be selected from each category based on the ranks given by the external jury.
